Cleveland Browns: The Cleveland Browns won this draft in my opinion. They got 5 first round players in my mind, and still managed to snag one of the top QB prospects in Deshone Kizer. Though I don't think highly of Kizer, he has everything you would want in a quarterback besides the stats to back it up. Caleb Brantley was going in the first round for me until his domestic violence case, which ended up being dismissed later on in the week, and they got him in the 6th round, as well as snagging future All Pro Jabrill Peppers with the 25th pick. Not only did they get Myles Garrett but they also got Larry Ogunjobi in the third round which gives them tons of pieces to build a scary defensive line. Though injured Howard WIlson was a good prospect in a position of need, and they also drafted the best kicker in the NCAA in Zane Gonzalez.
A++
Chicago Bears: The Bears needed a quarterback, and we thought they went out and got one in Mike Glennon even though they were high on Trubisky as well. If you were the ones asking “Why not both?” good job, cause I sure didn’t see them trading 4 picks for a 1 year “wonder” at UNC who didn’t even win a bowl game. Eddie Jackson was a good pick up for them in round 4. He not only provides depth at safety, but he showed great returning ability at Alabama. I like Adam Shaheen as a football player, but I don't think it was the smartest thing to do with their 2nd round pick. Overall there isn't much to talk about for the Bears because they traded a lot to go up for Mitch right at the start.
C-
San Francisco 49ers: Another team which killed this draft early was the 49ers by selected two of the top 5 best players in this years draft. With Solomon Thomas at 3rd, and the fall of Reuben Foster to 31st, the 49ers flipped a sorry defense into one with a lot of potential. Along with those 1st rounders the 49ers drafted Ahkello Witherspoon from Colorado, addressing their need of corner. They also drafted Iowa's offense when spending a 3rd round pick on C.J Beathard and a 5th round pick on George Kittle. Even though Carlos Hyde is the presumably starting running back in San Fran, 4th rounder Joe Williams from Utah not only provides great value, but an insurance policy for whenever Hyde is hurt.
A
Jacksonville Jaguars: The end is near for Blake Bortles in Jacksonville, that is if he can't do anything after this draft haul. They took Leonard Fournette with the 4th pick to help take pressure off Bortles, and used their 2nd round pick on debatably the best OT prospect in this draft in Cam Robinson. Dawuane Smoot provides another edge rusher, to possibly push Dante Fowler Jr. into performing like a 3rd overall pick. In the 4th round the Jacksonville Jaguars took a flyer on Dede Westbrook, one of last years best wide out in the NCAA but also reported to be the only player ever kicked out of a personal team interview, 15 minutes into it at that. I always believe in second chances, but this guy seems like bad news and as most teams did, should be ignored for a roster spot. Either way it is just another weapon that Bortles gets to use in his last chance with the Jaguars.
B+

Tennessee Titans: Tennessee was in a tricky spot with not many prospects fitting their needs in the draft. They mainly use free agency to bulk their roster this offseason, leaving very little to add to the team. Corey Davis filled a hole in the receiving core, but filled like a reach with the 5th pick, same goes with Adoree Jackson with the 18th. This draft provided mainly depth for the Titans as they used their 3rd round pick on Western Kentucky receiver Taywan Taylor, and drafting two more OL even though their offensive line is one of the best in the league. Josh Carraway from TCU played DE but will have to switch to OLB to make it in the NFL as he is only 235 Lbs. As well as Jayon Brown from UCLA provides yet another hybrid type defensive play maker.
B-
New York Jets: Everyone wanted New York to reach for their franchise quarterback early, but they played it smart a decide to build the team further before drafting the heir to the throne. They walked away with two of the best safeties in this draft with Jamal Adams and then Marcus Maye in the 2nd round, which was one of the weak points of the defense last year. Also Chad Hansen in the 4th round gives whoever is throwing the pigskin this season a huge new target, with amazing value for the team. I could say the same with their 5th round selection in Jordan Leggett, tight end from Clemson. Jace Amaro failed terribly for the Jets, and it was time for a replacement. Next years quarterback class is going to be much more loaded anyway, and they need to look at that offensive line too before they think too far into the future.
B+
Los Angeles Chargers: You saw the LA Chargers look towards their future in Los Angeles with this draft class they had. First rounder Mike Williams provides the team with someone else that can catch passes besides Keenan Allen. On top of giving Allen a partner, they also bulked up the offensive line when they drafted back to back guards. They didn’t just take back to back guards, but they took the two best guards in the class, and if there is anything we learned from watching the Cowboys, it's building a line can flip a franchise. Building off Melvin Gordon's great season last year, Los Angeles is definitely reloading for a moving franchise. In the 5th round they got DB Desmond King out of Iowa. King was one of the best corners in the NCAA, but translates better as a safety at the next level. Either way King provides great value for the Chargers in round 5.
A

Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton is lucky to be alive after the beating he took last year and the Carolina Panthers know it. They went and got two of the best playmakers in this year’s draft in the first two rounds with Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel. Even though they play two different positions they are very similar in playing style, and were used some what the same ways in college. Also in the 2nd round the Panthers drafted interior lineman Taylor Moton, from Western Michigan, who was regarded as one of the better interior players in this years draft. They also got Myles Garretts partner in crime Daeshon Hall from Texas A&M who measures exactly like Mr. Garrett himself. Look for Hall to make a quick impact with Kony Ealy gone, and Charles Johnson going on his final years in the NFL.
A

Cincinnati Bengals: When the Bengals ignored the perfect pairing of Reuben Foster, and drafted John Ross instead I had serious doubts about this season. Then we pulled the trigger on Joe Mixon and I was back on board 100%. We drafted to make Andy Dalton the best he could be, and even though we lost a lot on the offensive line, I believe in Jake Fisher and Cedric Ogbuehi to grow into their draft stock from before. Jordan Willis from Kansas State, Carl Lawson from Auburn and Ryan Glasgow from Michigan provided a much needed youth to the Bengals in the middle rounds, and they even drafted in a kicker to help with last years kick sorrows with Jake Elliott from Memphis. If you followed my reports on the Bengals you’d know this draft was nothing like I predicted, nor wanted, but I am very happy with end result.
A-

Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs 6 draft picks this year, but only one true impact player was drafted as they had to trade up to get him. That is future franchise quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, who I believe was the second best quarterback prospect available. With last years uptick in passing, and the emergence of Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce caused Andy Reid to pull the trigger on upgrading at the quarterback position. In the second round they added an athletic freak from Villanova, Tanoh Kpassagnon, to the front seven. At 6’7, 290Lbs, Kpassagnon is coming off a CAA Defensive Player of the Year campaign in 2016. The Chiefs also went for depth in the mid rounds selecting running back Kareem Hunt from Toledo, and Michigan wide out Jehu Chesson. They are building an offense for the future, filled with playmakers, in Kansas City.
B-
New Orleans Saints: The Saints had 6 picks in the 1st three rounds of this years draft, and they added a lot of day 1 impact for the organization. At pick 11 they took debatably the best corner in this years draft, Marshon Lattimore, and also one of the best tackle prospects in Ryan Ramczyk. Both position were probably the biggest needs for New Orleans, and they team just drafted two new starters. They continued to sure up the secondary with Marcus Williams from Utah, adding more length and speed to what Lattimore was already adding. The Saints probably had the best third round this year, this because they had 3 picks in it. Even though they signed AP and still have Mark Ingram (who just had his first 1,000 yard season) Alvin Kamara adds what Reggie Bush left the Saints. Alex Anzalone from Florida adds more talent to a weak, but youthful, defensive front 7.
A

Houston Texans: Houston only had one real hole in the roster and that was quarterback. They went ahead and made sure that couldn’t be said anymore and drafted 2016 NCAA Champion Deshaun Watson. Watson provides not just a winning attitude going 25-2 in his last two years at Clemson (Freshman year was a mess of injuries and battling to start), but brings a chip on his shoulder as being the third quarterback off the board. The Texans also shored up the linebacker core adding Zach Cunningham from Vanderbilt, giving this defense even more power and athleticism. D’Onta Foreman in the 3rd, adds a bowling ball back to complement Lamar Miller’s game, and make sure he doesn’t carry too big of a load. Carlos Watkins, Watson’s Clemson teammate, adds another big body to the front 7 rotation.
B
Arizona Cardinals: I feel like the Cardinals were looking at quarterback all first round, and when Houston traded up ahead of them to select Watson, the Cardinals choked and took the best player available with Hasson Riddick. While I like Riddick a lot, with players like Reuben Foster and Jarrad Davis, I find it a bit questionable. They definitely went and made up for it by snagging 2nd round steal Budda Baker from Washington. Baker is a first round type player that got washed down to the second round due to flooded talent at the position. Round 4 had the Cardinals drafting a big ugly interior lineman from Pitt, Dorian Johnson. As a Bengals fan, I was high on drafting Johnson to help our line, and am a big fan of the maulers games. T.J. Logan also gives depth and speed behind David Johnson, who was taken as a compensatory 5th round selection.
B
Philadelphia Eagles: Last year the Eagles went out and got Carson Wentz, and this off season we saw them go after Torrey Smith, Alshon Jeffery, and LeGarrette Blount to give him pieces on offense to win. Now it was time to fix the defensive problems, and boy did they find some people for that. In the first round they went with the man who broke Reggie White’s all time sack record at Tennessee, and that is Derek Barnett. What really improved the defense though is someone who most likely won’t see the field this year and that is Sidney Jones, a prospect I had in the top 10 before tearing his achilles at his pro day. In a division with Dez Bryant, Odell Beckham Jr. and even Terrelle Pryor Sr., Sidney Jones is a corner that can cover them all. The Eagles went with another corner, this time someone who could make a day 1 impact, and that is 6’2 Rasul Douglas. Douglas gives the Eagles length at the position, and provides depth at a position of need. Philadelphia had a few offensive draft picks, and the best was presumably Darren Sproles replacement, and that is Donnel Pumphrey from San Diego State. In San Diego Pumphrey put up record breaking numbers, but standing at only 5’8, has to be used carefully to be effective.
A-
Indianapolis Colts: The draft process hasn’t been very kind to the the Colts in the recent past, but this year I believe they struck gold. Catching a falling Malik Hooker at 15th overall is going to give this secondary some much needed help, and possible turnovers. The Colts continued to grab falling prospects as they snagged Quincy Wilson in the second round, regarded as one of the better corners in the draft. With the receiving corps building in the AFC South, Indy looked to find some studs to go to battle with. Staying with the defense, the Colts upgraded their edge in the third round, with Ohio’s Tarell Basham. A 6’4 270, Basham provides a big body on the line, and can also rush from the outside backer position. Addressing the offense, the Colts selected Zach Banner OL from USC, and Marlon Mack from USF in round 4. Banner stands at 6’8 and played tackle in Southern Cal, but looks to be moved inside with the Colts. As for Mack? A very underrated runner coming out of a smaller division 1 school, but could very well take hold of the starting job by the end of the season or next.
B+
Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens only drafted two offensive players in this years draft, and they were both interior offensive linemen. The obvious focus was to get the Ravens defense back to being a smash mouth defense, that started in the first round by selecting lengthy corner, Marlon Humphrey from Alabama. Humphrey was my favorite corner coming out of this draft, and has tons of upside to cover wideouts like Martavis Bryant and A.J Green. The Ravens went with some edge help with the selections of 2nd rounder Tyus Bowser, and 3rd rounder Tim Williams. Both players are very similar, but Baltimore has had very little pass rush outside of Terrell Suggs and you can never have too many pass rushers. The Ravens have struggled to run the ball for a few seasons now, and last season they were ranked 28th in rushing yard per game. Baltimore went back to back interior offensive linemen in the 4th (Nico Siragusa) and 5th round (Jermaine Eluemunor) looking to add depth to the offensive line, and increase the running game for 2017.
B
Washington Redskins: The Redskins have been a questionable team from front office all the way down to the play on the field, but they don’t seem to struggle when comes time to draft. Washington got one of the first rounds biggest steals with defensive lineman Jonathan Allen from Alabama. They also got Allen’s teammate OLB Ryan Anderson with their second pick, who could be seeing playing time early in Trent Murphy’s absence due to PEDs. Both Allen and Anderson were key contributors to both National Title runs for the Crimson Tide. In the 4th round they went and grabbed bowling ball back Samaje Perine. I love this picks value, as Perine could very well start for this team down the line, and at worse will be a menace at the goal line. Jordan Reed is probably the second best tight end in the NFL, but he rarely can stay on the field, and is coming close to being too inured to return to football. That's why in the 5th round they selected Jeremy Sprinkle out of Arkansas, who will provide depth at the position, and better blocking than Reed.
B+
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jameis Winston is one of the happiest quarterbacks in the NFL after the Bucs 2017 draft. In the 1st round they selected a freak of nature tight end in O.J Howard from Alabama. He adds that “it” factor to this offense, and Tampa Bay now is starting to look more like a basketball team rather than a football team. To go along with that they drafted Chris Godwin, who looks to smooth the rollover period with Vincent Jackson. On the defensive side of the ball they selected to SEC defenders in safety Justin Evans and inside linebacker Kendell Beckwith. Beckwith is from LSU, same school that current Buc’s star linebacker Kwon Alexander was drafted out of as well.
B
Denver Broncos: After falling out of the playoffs, the Broncos can look back at the 2016 season with a lot of things to fix. The quarterback situation is obviously questionable but with a suspect offensive line they don't have much to build off of. The 1st round selection of Garett Bolles was the best thing they could have done at pick 20. Not only did they improve the offensive line, but in the second round they draft defensive linemen DeMarcus Walker. Walker will provide amazing depth for the Broncos defense, and is a sure fire NFL stud. In the late rounds Denver killed it by stealing Jake Butt in the 5th, and drafting Chad Kelly with the last selection in the draft. Before tearing his ACL, i believe Jake Butt to be the 2nd best tight end in this draft, and many said he had “Gronk-like” upside. Chad Kelly had an interesting college career, but has tons of potential to compete with Paxton Lynch and Trevor Semien.
B+
Detroit Lions: Matthew Stafford is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but the Lions defense has been holding both him and the franchise back for years now. That being said, adding Florida linebacker Jarrad Davis could easily flip the play of this unit. Davis was the best middle linebacker not named Reuben Foster in this class, and is going to make a day one impact. Jalen Tabor was once a top 3 corner going into the draft, but the Lions selected him in the second round and gave Slay a Robin opposite side of him. Jalen Tabor’s stock fell after the draft, and lacked a lot of tape due to quarterbacks just not throwing towards him. Florida had one of the best defenses in the NCAA last season, and they selected two of the best players on that unit. Detroit just drafted a backup quarterback last year, but it looks like they aren't very high on Ruddock developing at the next level. Selecting Brad Kaaya gives the Lions are back up that is used to the pro style offense in the NFL.
B
Miami Dolphins: Cameron Wake finally got a running mate in the Dolphins 1st round pick, Charles Harris. Missouri has become a defensive line factory, and Harris has top 15 talent if this draft class wasn’t so loaded. The Fins continued to add to their defense, drafting Ohio State linebacker, Raekwon McMillan. Though they just signed Lawrence Timmons from the Steelers, he adds amazing depth to their linebacking corps, and could look to replace Timmons when he retires. Miami again stayed on defense, this time adding to their lackluster secondary and drafted Cordrea Tankersley from Clemson. Tankersley can look to cover all speed receivers, but has to work on his tackling to perform at the next level. The Dolphins finally go offensive and select Isaac Asiata from Utah. Jay Ajayi broke onto the scene last year, but my biggest question for him was the line he ran behind. On the flip side of rushing, Miami was the second worse run stopping team, which is why they went back to back defensive tackles. The selections of Davon Godchaux, and Vincent Taylor adds over 600 more pounds to help plug the run game.
B-
New York Giants: Evan Engram was one of the draft's biggest surprises. I had him going in the mid second round, but the

Giants obviously saw something I didn't, and selected him 23rd overall. This adds a huge target for Eli Manning to throw to, and makes them one of the most deadly red zone offenses in the league. Johnathan Hankins was one of the more undervalued free agents this year, and once he left for the Colts, left a 320 Lb hole for the Giants defensive line. Dalvin Tomlinson might not be 320 Lbs, but he is close enough to plug the run game for the Giants. We all heard the Giants were wanting to get a strong backup quarterback behind Eli for whenever it is time to move on. Davis Webb could easily be that guy, as he put up similar numbers to last years first overall pick, Jared Goff, in the same system. Drafting a quarterback is always a toss in the dark but the Giants are set to succeed with the roster they have currently. Adding more to weapons for whoever quarterbacks this team, New York went with Wayne Gallman in the 4th round. Gallman provides a great insurance of a pass catching ability if Shane Vereen is to go down again with injury.
C+
Oakland Raiders: Oakland might be on the move within the next few years, but wherever they land, that city has a championship contender in the making. They killed this draft from head to toe, starting with stealing top 10 prospect Gareon Conley. Of course the sexual assault case looming is a big deal, but based off the reports so far it looks like this case has a strong chance to favor in Conley. Adding to the secondary the Raiders also selected Obi Melifonwu in the 2nd round, making the Raiders secondary freaky athletic. He provides great plug and play possibility for the Raiders, and at 6’4 he can be a true matchup nightmare defensively. Continuing into the 3rd round, the Raiders selected Eddie Vanderdoes from UCLA. Vanderdoes fills one of the only holes left that the Raiders had on defense, and could be a part of something crazy next season. In the late rounds Oakland chose to add depth to their linebackers, offensive line, and running back spot. Elijah Hood adds a lot of power to bring behind Marshawn Lynch and David Sharpe could provide insurance for an aging Donald Penn.
A-
Atlanta Falcons: Coming so close to the Super Bowl and letting it slip like the Falcons did is one of the most painful things in sports. It is hard to add to the runner up of the Super Bowl, but the Falcons looked to upgrade the defensive unit to stop a comeback in the future. During the draft process I believe Takk McKinley was overvalued coming out of UCLA, but once I saw his draft speech, and how he reacted, I think the Falcons drafted the perfect guy to be opposite of Vic Beasley. They upgraded every level of their defense but the best snag for the Falcons was 5th rounder DaMontae Kazee from San Diego State. Kazee is a little undersized, but is the true definition of a ball hawk. Kazee is a two time Mountain West DPOY winner, and recorded 15 interceptions in those two seasons. In the 5th round they also used a pick on Brian Hill, running back from Wyoming. Though Hill was a solid running back in college, the Falcons are starting to build too many running backs in that backfield.
B
Buffalo Bills: In one of the biggest surprises of the draft the Bills traded all the way down to 27th with the Texans, and still managed to fill a major need. Buffalo selected Tre'Davious White, DB from LSU, who also has great return ability. In the 2nd round they filled their next biggest hole, wide receiver. They let Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin walk to their respective teams, and Sammy Watkins is suspect due to injury. They took Zay Jones in the 2nd round who looks to fill the role Robert Woods left behind, but their other second round pick I like more. Dion Dawkins was someone i paid a lot of attention to because he was someone I wanted the Bengals to draft, and I believe he was a steal in the late 2nd round. Nathan Peterman is an interesting selection as he did have a little flare coming into the draft. Many believed that he could be the steal of the draft, along with Davis Webb.
B+

Dallas Cowboys: Dallas took probably the biggest hit in free agency losing Barry Church, Morris Claiborne, J.J Wilcox, and Brandon Carr. Even before those departures, the Cowboys still needed major upgrades on the defense, which is why they selected only one offensive player this draft. Taco Charlton is one of the wild cards in this draft. He is a big powerful defensive end, but has motor issues from time to time. In the 2nd and 3rd round Dallas selected back to back cornerbacks, one being Taco Charlton’s former teammate. Jourdan Lewis has great value in the 3rd round if he can stay out of trouble. Lewis was involved in a domestic violence incident while he played at Michigan that caused the borderline first round corner to drop nearly 2 rounds. Many Cowboys fans questioned why the drafted Cole Beasley clone, Ryan Switzer in the 4th round, but I believe he will provide are great spark in the return game for the Cowboys.
B-

Pittsburgh Steelers: As much as I hate to say it, Pittsburgh had a great draft head to toe. Drafting T.J Watt gives the Steelers an edge presence that hasn’t been there for a very long time. In the second round many believed they drafted a replacement for Martavis Bryant in USC wide out Juju Smith Schuster, but I see this more as a replacement for Coates/Rogers. Both wideouts battled for the number 3 receiver in the offense, but both were in and out the lineup for various reasons. The feel good story of this draft has to be James Conner, running back from Pittsburgh. If you haven’t heard his name already, he was one of the best running backs in college before being diagnosed with cancer while being treated for an MCL tear. He has battled back, defeated cancer, and now is gaining his top back form, and with Williams out in the Steel City Conner has full control of the #2 back. My least favorite pick would be the selection of Tennessee quarterback, Joshua Dobbs. Even being drafted to just be the backup role still seems like a wasted pick as I didn’t see much good tape of him.
B
Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks were another team without a first round pick, but as usual they left the draft with full pockets as they had 11 picks. They had two 2nd round picks, and they used the first one to draft Michigan State stud, Malik McDowell. McDowell is another name that slid past people due to the gush of defensive studs in this draft. At 6’6, 290 Lbs, McDowell can play all across the defensive line and is a massive player to stop the run. Ethan Pocic gives that Seattle offensive line a huge prospect who can fill in wherever he is needed on the line, but projects best at the center position. Even with Tyler Lockett improving, and Doug Baldwin still is a very underrated receiver, but they need more depth at the position. Amara Darboh was one of my favorite receivers in this class. Darboh reminds me a lot of last years breakout rookie, Michael Thomas. Throughout this draft the Seahawks drafted 4 defensive backs, and look to build some depth behind the legion of boom. We’ve seen how their secondary tends to fall apart if just one player is missing. Shaquill Griffin, and Tedric Thompson are my two favorites as Griffin was a combine standout who could use help with his footwork but has the length and speed to thrive in the Seahawks system. Tedric Thompson was a stand out on a great Colorado defense this year, and gives the safety position a lot more play making ability than it already had before.
B
New England Patriots: The New England Patriots decided to start the draft process early by trading their 1st round pick for Brandin Cooks, a 2nd round pick for the Panther Kony Ealy, and also a 4th round pick for Dwayne Allen from the Colts (plus a 6th round pick). After all that dust settled the Patriots were left with 4 picks in this years draft, and they still used those very well. My favorite would be Troy mueller, Antonio Garcia, who was one of my favorite OTs in this class.
C+
Green Bay Packers: The Packers didn’t have a 1st round pick, but they got 1st round talent in Kevin King. King is a lengthy corner that helped Washington's defense become one of the scariest in college football. Adding to the secondary help, Josh Jones looks to fill the giant hole left by Micah Hyde’s departure. The 2nd round safety got lost in all the Peppers, Hooker, and Adams talk throughout the draft process. Hopefully these defensive backs will help the Packers secondary that was last seen being torn apart for 400 yards in the NFC Championship. My favorite pick for the Cheese Heads would be BYUs running back Jamaal Williams, but their biggest steal would be Malachi Dupre from LSU. LSU has produced plenty of wide receivers that are NFL ready, and compete highly in the NFL.
B+
Minnesota Vikings: With AP gone and moved down to New Orleans, what really do we have in Minnesota now? Well the Vikings seem to have tried their best to move on with the selection of Dalvin Cook, running back out of Florida State. Dalvin Cook was one of my heisman dark horse candidates, and I believe was snubbed in 2015 from the Heisman finalists list. He has break away speed, and the agility to get to the second level in the NFL. Drafting the best center in this draft, Pat Elflein, will make that a lot easier as well. Elflein offers the ability to play all interior offensive line positions. Ben Gedeon was a great player that the Vikings took in the 4th round to sure up that linebacking corps. Bucky Hodges adds a huge vertical threat to this offense, who reminds me a lot of Kelvin Benjamin. Both are huge receivers that play that hybrid role where they would be effective as a tight end and wide receiver. In the 7th round, Minnesota got amazing value with Bucky Hodges.
B+
Los Angeles Rams: Since the Rams traded away everything to get Goff last year, they don’t have much to pick from when it comes to this year's class. Los Angeles was another team that lost close to 300 targets during this offseason, and you could see that was a big priority for the organization. With their 2nd round pick they took Gerald Everett, tight end from South Alabama. Everett provides Goff with a legit redzone threat, and gives him a true athlete to throw the ball to. They drafted two more targets to put around Goff in 3rd and 4th round, selecting Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds. Cooper Kupp has been on the fast track to be the man in LA and for Jared Goff.
